Evcco’s HFT/LSZH-FR conduit system – with halogen-free flame retardant properties have been installed through-out the Burwood Brickworks shopping centre. The Brickworks shopping centre is aiming to be the most sustainable shopping centre in the world under the “Living Building Challenge” certification program.
The shopping center is aiming to achieve Living Building Challenge (LBC™) certification — a sustainability standard created by the Living Future Institute and considered one of the most rigorous certifications, since it requires net-zero energy, waste, and water for every project. If successful, it will be the first shopping center in the world to receive that certification.
Evcco’s HFT/LSZH-FR conduit and fittings meet the LBC’s Red-List criteria. The Red List contains the worst in class materials prevalent in the building industry. The Red-List catalogs materials and chemicals that may not be used in any project, such as halogenated flame retardants, phthalates, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
